Somehow I was invited to speak on a Club Monaco panel with Eda Midori, Atima Lui, and stylist Molly Dickson, discussing how I built the Flower Bodega brand… mind blown and imposter syndrome was heavyyyyyy. But I made it through. :)
First Workshop Down!
Had a lot of fun hosting my first ever workshop at our little Tribeca pop up!
A Flower Story: Meet Sadie
In honor of my family's first Mother's Day without our matriarch, my grandma, I present a very special and personal collection, Sadie. My grandmother's name was Mercedes, my mother's name is Sarita, Sarah for short. I recently learned that Sadie is the nickname for Sarah. It is also phonetically a part of my grandmother's name, Mercedes. What better name to give my first Mother's Day collection than one which represents the two most important women in my life?
Complete with gorgeous peach, white, and soft blue hues, our limited edition Sadie collection is available in three sizes and includes ranunculous, tweedia, lisianthus, anthurium, and more.
Plotting big things...
Ally and I caught plotting big moves for Flower Bodega at MeMe’s Diner before we walked over to see the David Bowie exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum.
A Flower Story: Meet Anita
Inspired by the loud, colorful and wild personalities of the OG Shark, Celia Cruz, and some of rock's leading ladies (among others), Anita is an eclectic collection celebrating the bold, vibrant, and independent spirits across all cultures who are changemakers, rule breakers, and challengers of convention.
From a range of pinks and purples with pops of white and yellow, this bold bouquet is a an equal mix of spice meets rock and roll and will uplift, bring joy, and dare you to be as loud as she is.
A Flower Story: Meet Vivian
Inspired by the iconic Julia Roberts character and this classic scene, Vivian is a collection celebrating the classic romantics.
From bright red Anemones to ivory and blush Ranunculus with a pop of blue, these bouquets will bring you back to those lazy romantic afternoons.
A Flower Story: Meet Jenn Z.
The color yellow is associated with optimism, vitality and ambition. Jenn Z. is a collection celebrating and inspired by Generation Z Yellow and its influences from the Art Hoe collective and Unity in Color's poignant photography series.
From Craspedia to Solidago and Ranunculus, these bouquets will brighten and inspire.
A Flower Story: Meet Millie
Once THE color of the moment (and a generation), Millennial Pink brought a once "frilly" hue to the mainstream, saying it's okay to be feminine and fierce. While some may argue that the muted hue is being pushed out by bold reds or Gen Z Yellow, she still brings an air of calm and cool to any aesthetic. Besides, the classic pink flower still packs a lot of punch to the romantic set. In other words, she's not really going away ever.
Millie is a collection dedicated to those brought up on both 90's hip hop and all-things-Ringwald while also poking fun at its recent reign over your timelines and Drake music videos.
