Flower Shoe Project 001

Unknown Alien Shoe

Turned this crazy shoe into a flower vessel. Hosted a quick live tutorial on IG Live with our friend Crystal Anderson who joined us from the bathtub!

Introducing: Floral Workshops During Lockdown

Life in the time of isolation means we can sit around and binge-watch TV, or we can learn a new skill! 🌸💅🏼💓New Yorkers! 🗽 Join us for our first online flower class LIVE from the new Flower Bodega Loft on Thursday March 26th at 7:30PM EST! But instead of just watching us do a demonstration, YOU can join in! 😱

How It Works:
1. We’ll deliver a custom Flower Bodega Workshop Kit to you on Thursday 3/26*** complete with fresh flowers, a vase, and flower tools 💐 (NYC boroughs only)

2. You’ll tune in to our IG LIVE that evening to make your foam-free spring creation along with us!

3.SECURE YOUR TICKET. ***As a note, we are keeping a close eye on developing updates from government officials re: COVID-19 and will keep you updated should the workshop need to be postponed.

Coronavirus?

Thank you to everyone who has reached out to see how we’re holding up. We’re doing well! We love you! 🥺 Our thoughts are with everyone right now, though. Let’s protect the vulnerable by doing our part to help this thing pass as quickly as possible. In the meantime, be kind and show love and support to whoever you can. Beyond the anxieties and health concerns that come with a global pandemic, beyond small businesses being impacted, many people have lost their jobs and are in a state of distress. Let’s also consider and show compassion for those who show up every day across multiple industries to keep everyone else comfortable. Here’s looking at you public transportation workers, medical staff, cleaning and janitorial staff, delivery men and women, cashiers and employees of pharmacies and grocery stores, those very real people who work behind the scenes to fulfill your Amazon orders... The list goes on and we’re grateful for you. 🌸💓🌸 This too shall pass! We love you! ~ your friends at Flower Bodega

2 Year Anniversary & Loft Opening!

It’s here! Welcome to the Flower Bodega Loft! Our private design studio in Bushwick where we make floral magic happen, share ideas, host workshops, small gatherings and more. Stay tuned for updates on the space and how you can come see it and hang with us in person!

Find Your Seat.

We really haven’t talked about this seating chart enough. 🌸💕Nearly went blind handwriting all of those names on this EPIC seating chart for Denise & Tim’s wedding. I pressed the flowers myself, ordered custom acrylic and voila! This became the star of the reception!

Natasha's Apartment

Ahhhh! The florals we did for Natasha Nyanin’s apartment design story with went live in NY Mag today! Working with Natasha and Mariana gave me a new sense of inspiration. These women labored over every tiny detail and I felt so honored to be included! Natasha’s home has so much spirit, character, and elegance and getting to collaborate and work with such beautiful vessels like these alabaster pieces and that stunning Lalique vase! I was beyond thrilled!

We went over every detail including specific florals, leaves and colors that we would use. We reviewed several vases before selecting those you see here. We emphasized each floral’s movement and they gave me the freedom to just create!

I left feeling inspired, grateful, creative, refreshed and full from that insanely delicious cracked earth chocolate cake! Natasha, thank you! Working on this project has encouraged me to think beyond trends and consider every decision when I’m creating. I’ve been applying these learnings to my design approach for our new studio. Can’t wait for you all to see!

Camp No Man's Land

I became a member of The Wing this Spring with the hopes of having networking opportunities for new biz and just generally getting out there to make new friends. My lifestyle can keep me in a bubble, buried in the mountains of work I juggle, but joining this club has exceeded my expectations. When I was invited to host floral workshops at #CampNoMansLand this past weekend, I was beyond thrilled! I went from knowing a handful of folks to meeting over 100 members in our workshops alone! We had an absolute blast this weekend and couldn’t be more excited for more to come! Thank you so much to my cousin Nilisa for taking the 3 hour drive with me and bonding in ways we’ll remember forever.

Free Winona!

Shout out to this adorable Hoxton Williamsburg Mother’s Day Bodega Stand and my nearly 20 year-old “Free Winona” shirt that I bought on 8th Street the year she was caught shoplifting at Saks. Legend.
